What to do with all that art?

Are the art projects from school and extracurricular activities beginning to pile up? Here are our favourite things to do with our children’s art:

1.      Frame it and hang it – Sometimes a piece comes home that needs to be hung up. Invest in getting it framed and hang it as you would a professional piece. Not only does it add great colour, whimsy and a playful atmosphere to your home, but it is a great way to show your child how proud you are of them and their creative work.

2.      Upcycle it – Art work can be turned into many things. Gift cards for grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends. Homemade CD covers or even wrapping paper. The options are endless and upcycling allows your child to continue using their creative energy to come up with new ideas to do with their art.

3.      Make a book – Sometimes you really can’t keep it all, but with the ease of new technology you can take pictures of the art and have a photo album style book made. This is a much smaller way of storing the work and it will last a lifetime. Plus you can make copies for family members!
