August 12 th is the date for students and parents to learn about such important topics as bullying, healthy relationship with food, healthy relationship with social media and many more topics.

YPAD (Youth Protection Advocates in Dance) is a non-profit organization dedicated to building empowered dance communities and keeping kids healthy and safe in all dance environments.

"Our goal is to grow our children as humans, not just dancers"

YPAD director, Leslie Scott, teaches interactive seminars on a variety of subjects to focus on the positive aspects of dance, help overcome and deal with effects of a media driven culture and increase Holistic Wellness. The goal is for Seminar participants to become aware they are not alone in their feelings and for each child and teen to leave feeling empowered with skills to protect and advocate for their own Self-Esteem!

"Many have witnessed these seminars change hundreds of children’s lives and open communication between them and their parents to have needed and meaningful conversations."
