Progressing &
​Accelerated Programs

Our Pre-Professional Progressing & Accelerated Programs are designed for students coming multiple times a week ​or who wish to study with an intensive approach. These classes continue to follow our philosophy of supporting a positive approach to learning, self-esteem, collaboration and creation skills, while taking the next step towards studying dance as a discipline. 
​
These classes require pre-requisites or teacher placement.

Progressing & Accelerated classes are by teacher placement
​Vocational Bllet & Pointe- for students in Vocational RAD ballet on teachers recommendation
Ballet & Pointe
Our Ballet Programs are based on the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, a professional classical Ballet training program using developmentally appropriate exercises and techniques. Ballet classes focus on the classical technique while incorporating the artistic aspects of the dance form. 
The Royal Academy of Dance's Vocational syllabus continues from the Graded syllabus in developing strong classical ballet training. Pointe work is introduced in this stream and the curriculum takes a pre-professional approach to training young dancers. ​

​Sr. Ballet- 12 years and older
​Discovering Repertoire
Vocational RAD Ballet 1, 2 & 3 - Two or three times a week programs
Vocational Ballet Pointe - for students in Vocational RAD Ballet on teacher's recommendation
Modern
Modern dance incorporates technical skills with creative exploration to develop performance dynamics, choreographic and improvisational skills.

Modern 5 & 6
 - 12 years and older
Vocational Lyrical
Lyrical is rooted in the techniques Ballet, Modern and Jazz with a focus on the current trends in the dance community. 

Vocational Lyrical 1, 2, & 3- 12 years and older
*Lyrical classes must be combined with 1 Modern, Ballet, or Jazz class

Jazz & Tap
Jazz and Tap classes encourage a vitality and enthusiasm for dance while training a versatile dancer. Tap teaches the understanding of the feet as musical instruments and Jazz focuses on developing technique while working on fun choreography.

Sr. Jazz- 12 years and older

Tap 5, 6 & 7- 12 years and older
Hip Hop
Hip Hop is a high energy form of dance that evolved from Break dancing and encompasses street style movements, also known as Urban Dance.

Fall program registration will open June 1st. 
  • We encourage you to add your name to the waitlist of any classes that are full, so that we can open more spots as we are able, or add a second class to the schedule where possible. ​

DANCE WEAR OPTIONS: 

Option 1 Ballet: 


-Black camisole or tank bodysuit
-Ballet pink tights
-Pink ballet slippers
-Black short wrap skirt - optional
-Demi-pointe shoes (for exam participants)
-Pointe shoes (per teacher recommendation)

Option 2 Ballet

-Black leggings
-Cap sleeve fitted white t-shirt
-Black socks
-Black ballet slippers
-Character shoes/jazz shoes with a small heel (only for Graded RAD classes)
Option 1 All other class disciplines:

-Black camisole or tank bodysuit
-Black footless leggings

Modern-Bare feet
Jazz- Jazz shoes
Tap- Tap shoes
Lyrical- half sole
Performance teams- jazz shoes, half sole, ballet slippers
Hip Hop- Black camisole or tank bodysuit
-Any black pants (no writing or logo, other than Pegasus)
-Black socks and black sneakers

At the end of the dance school year, our dance classes participate in a dance showcase! Our Senior Showcase takes place at the Toronto Centre for the Arts. ​

COSTUMES:
Costumes are rented to each dancer. The cost is $68+ HST. A deposit is added to your November 1 payment and the balance is added to your February 1 payment. The costume fee is non-refundable. ​

TICKETS:
Tickets will be available through TicketMaster in the spring of 2024. 

OPTIONAL COSTS:
​Some optional costs include; showcase photos, showcase digital video, showcase t-shirt

​​Tuition: 
  • ​60 min - $1035 + HST per year
  • 75 min - $1197 + HST per year
  • 90 min - $1431 + HST per year
​Can be paid in 9 instalments of:
  • 60 min- $115 + HST
  • 75 min- $133 + HST
  • 90 min- $159 + HST 
Registration Fee:
  • Registration fee  $50 +HST once per school year is required at the time of enrollment and is non-refundable.
​Installment Schedule: 
  • Fees paid on the 1st of the month from September 2023 - May 2024
​Costume Fees: 
  • $68 +HST 
  • ​50% deposit will be paid on November 1, 2023
  • 50% balance will be paid on February 1, 2024
Discounts:
  • ​10% discount on 2nd and more classes per family. ​​
  • $30 referral tuition credit for new family and referring family.
Policies:
  • HST will be added to all fees.
  • Costumes fees are non-refundable. Costume rental vs purchase determined by class.
  • Fee will be pro-rated if starting class after October.
  • One month notice is required for cancellations
  • $30 administration charge for cancellations
  • Holidays and studio closures have been accounted for in the 9 installments.
