What is Performance Company
Performance Company (PC) is a special program designed for dancers who love to perform and who desire a more intense level of training. PC is not just dance education; it is a total education. Dancers grow with confidence and competence through dance classes, rehearsals, community performances, festivals and more! Older dancers mentor younger dancers, and all participants are a part of a team of friends where everyone strives to be the best they can be.
The purpose of the Performance Company is to provide serious dancers a unique opportunity for pre-professional development through accelerated classes, challenging choreography, community performance experience, and exposure to the world of professional dance.
Modelling Positive Attitudes: PC members are ambassadors of Pegasus Dance Studios. Courtesy, respect, and encouragement is modeled by teachers and expected of students and parents. Commitment, dedication and 100% best effort is expected at all times.
Mastering Dance Technique: Excellence in dance technique is our foundation. As representatives of Pegasus Dance Studios, excellence in technique is a requirement. PC dancers take multiple classes per week. Requirement vary by age.
Performing on a Regular Basis: The heartbeat of our program is community performances. PC members grow in confidence and showmanship each time they perform. Dancers learn to expect the unexpected and adapt to any performance venue as they share their gift of dance.
