October is now in full swing which means, recital planning is well under way!
Over the past few dance seasons, our year end recital dates of been changing quite a bit. We are happy to say that things are returning to their normal schedule. So, what is that schedule and how can you be prepared? Here is a little breakdown of some of the key things to look for. November - We will be officially announcing our senior recital dates! (Junior Recital is still May 28, 2017) Along with this announcement we will post our preliminary recital schedule in the reception room. This schedule will tell you which show(s) your dancer will be performing in. If you have a scheduling conflict now is the time to let us know. We are more than happy to rearrange the schedule to make it the best possible for the majority of students, but we can only do that if we have plenty of advanced notice. Once December hits, we can no longer accept your requests to change as we will be finalizing the schedule.

Over the past decade we've seen a trend in contemporary choreography that includes acrobatics as part of traditional dance. This trend no longer seems to be just a fad but rather an evolution of the dance world we were used to seeing. Because of this, we've had a lot of interest from Pegasus families about Acro and last season we did two mini sessions in the Spring.
This year we really wanted to offer our families something more than just impressive looking tricks. We looked high and low, spoke to a lot of teachers in the Acro field, and discussed with other program directors to find the best program for our community. But, we also needed to find an instructor we felt had the background, expertise, and understood Pegasus, our students, and our vision. Well, we succeeded! We found Acrobatique AcroDance Syllabus and Pegasus alumni Katelyn Good. It was a match made in AcroDance Heaven!! |
